In 2003, Prefamac's great performances resulted in another nomination., this time for the Lion of the Export. This annual award of Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) recognizes
a Belgian company that combines impressive export achievements with a durable and socially-involved strategy. The company winning the 'Lion of the Export', is a role model in
Belgian export. In addition, this award is also a stimulus for other companies to target international markets.
Womed Award 1999
After being nominated by one of her employees, Myriam Schepers received the prestigious WOMED-award in 1999 (Women in Enterprise & Development). This a European award, a joint
initiative of the CMBV (Christian movement for self-employed women), the CEZOV (Center for independent business women), and the VLERICK MANAGEMENT SCHOOLs of Leuven and Gent.
Myriam Schepers was given the award because of the nature and the international character of her company.
Hermes Award 1998
In 1998, Prefamac received the Hermes award for company policy from the hands of His Royal Highness King Philip of Belgium (back then he was His Royal Highness Prince Philip of
Belgium) and Mr. Karel Pinxten, Belgian Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises at the time being. Prefamac was honoured with this award mainly for its export performance,
but also for its excellence in the areas of production, management, marketing, finance and administration. The management and personnel of Prefamac were very pleased with this
award, and have taken opportunity to thank all their customers, suppliers and business partners, for their contribution to this achievement.
